The state of Indiana has changed the name of the statewide testing from ISTEP to ILEARN. This change is effective as of the 2018-2019 school year. All grade levels will be tested during the late spring in Math and English/Language Arts. Additionally, 6th grade students take a science test.
Just like in elementary, students take the NWEA test three times during the school. NWEA measures students’ abilities in Math, Reading, and Language Arts. Scores will be sent home two to three weeks after testing is completed. Score reports give an overall score and range for your child and a percentage that compares the student’s scores to scores throughout TSC and the nation.
*It is in the student’s best interest to give maximum effort during ILEARN and NWEA testing. Scores from these tests are used to place students into proper level of classes at Wainwright and at McCutcheon High School.
