Many hands were on deck this holiday season as Wainwright hosted its annual Teachers Vs. Students basketball game.  This is large undertaking as many groups are involved.  7th and 8th grade boys basketball teams, cheerleaders, pep band coaches, and Students In Action all were on hand to watch the teachers narrowly defeat both teams.  

In lieu of traditional admittance to the basketball game, attendees were asked to donate a new or gently used toy and/or make a monetary donation.  This event set a new record for toys donated with 126 to go along with the money that was raised.  All toys are donated to Cole and Dayton elementary schools for families in need this Christmas.  Donations from the gate and profit from the concession stands help Students In Action donate Christmas and Thanksgiving meals along with presents to Wainwright families.

This night always reminds us that even our small school can make a huge impact to those in our community that need a little extra assistance this holiday season.  Thank you to everyone that came together to make the night truly amazing.
